Daisica L. Smith was born and raised in Memphis, TN and has always had a passion for acting since the age of three years old. She recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Theater and a concentration in Acting. Daisica represented Columbia College Chicago as a two time Liberace Scholar and appeared in several plays and projects; some of which included Ragtime, the classic Tennessee Williams' play, Street Car Named Desire, and the stage premiere of SLAM!. Daisica has also traveled the country performing in shows such as For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide and Ain’t I A Woman: the Sojourner Truth Story. In 2007, Daisica starred in her first film entitled My First Tooth which premiered at the International Memphis Film Festival April of 2009 and the Playhouse West Film Festival in Los Angeles June of 2009. Currently, Daisica resides in Chicago, Illinois where she will be performing with Second City’s Diversity Program and touring with HealthWorks Theatre Company this fall.
